Finally, finally, my apartment in Melbourne is connected to the internet :) Although, I must say, the internet is overrated; sometimes I just stare at the screen and wonder what site to surf next.
Don't have time to post much today, but I do have 2 pictures from when I was back in KL.
I finally got to meet up with Jason aka Smashpop in Midvalley during my last week in KL. Went to this Penang something something restaurant in Midvalley, and frankly, the food there wasn't too good.
This was the Nasi Lemak Penang, if I remember correctly, and smashpop wasn't too happy with it. Looking at the thing, I'd think I wouldn't have been too happy with it either. Too plain for nasi lemak in that type of restaurant.
This was better than the nasi lemak, although not spectacular.
Haih, what to do. Sometimes in life, you get disappointed by the meals you order.

OMG we have internet. That's awesome. Anyway, that place is called Little Penang. The Curry Laksa is not as good as the one in Melbourne.
OMG the modem died.
Got another one from chinatown for 110 dollars. Its 145 dollars from JB Hifi for the same thing.
Hope this one lasts.
Back in Melbourne and starting school already? :) I'm still lazing about in Malaysia. :D
Anyway - I do agree that the nasi lemak looks really mediocre, nothing to shout about. Nasi Lemak in Penang looks nothing like that. :D Laksa looks slightly better, although it's definitely not the classic Penang Assam Laksa.
I have no idea where to get really good Penang food in Melbourne...good as in authentic. I think the best Nasi Lemak so far for me will probably be Nasi Lemak House with the really weird Mrs.Boss.
haha yeh i'm back already. research is hard work lol.
indeed the mrs boss is quite weird, and loud as well, but I don't really like the nasi lemak there. probably because i usually eat nasi lemak without sambal, thus i need some really good curry chicken, or rendang chicken, or something of the sort haha. maybe i'll have to look harder.
